YOUR NEXT TEAM LIVES IN THE TERMINAL

All your AI swarms.
One terminal.

Stop prompting every swarm. Talk to Hivey. It creates and manages your swarms, each led by its own coordinator. One conversation to get things moving. A whole team behind it.

01

Tell Hivey what’s next.

Give Hivey the goal. It creates a new swarm or manages one already working, so you don’t have to prompt every team.

02

Let the agents coordinate.

Each swarm has a dedicated coordinator. Its agents exchange messages through a shared bus, with queued delivery and a full log.

03

Stay close. Or step away.

Detach from the terminal and reattach later. Your agents keep running on your machine.

02 / MEET YOUR LEAD AGENT

A little H.
A bigger kind of team.

Hivey gives your swarms a familiar face. The optional desktop pet reacts as agents start, finish, message, or need your attention.

Click the H and talk to the agent behind it. With voice enabled, Hivey can speak replies and important updates aloud. Your team has a voice, too.

03 / OUT OF THE TERMINAL. IN THE LOOP.

Go live your life.
Check in from Slack.

Talk to Hivey in its Slack channel to manage the big picture. Each swarm also has its own channel, where you can talk directly to its dedicated coordinator. Go deeper only when you want to.

Set scheduled check-ins to wake a coordinator when it’s idle. Your machine stays on. You don’t have to stay at your desk.

04 / MEMORY THAT OUTLIVES THE CHAT

New session.
Same accumulated knowledge.

Give your swarms a memory you can open in Obsidian. Sources, findings, decisions, and reusable knowledge live in linked Markdown pages that agents maintain and return to.

Inspired by Karpathy’s LLM Wiki approach: keep the evidence, build a connected wiki, and give agents clear rules for maintaining it. The work can inform the next task.

A FEW GOOD QUESTIONS
Is Hivey a model?

No. Hivey is the coordinator of your swarms, running on the herdr terminal runtime. It creates and manages swarms; each swarm has a dedicated coordinating agent and workers using tools such as Claude Code and Codex.

Does it work while my laptop is closed?

Detaching the terminal leaves agents running, but the machine must stay awake and connected. Hivey is not a hosted service that keeps working after your computer sleeps.

Do I need the desktop pet?

No. The pet is optional and available on macOS. You can use the terminal workspace without it, or turn it off whenever you like.

Do I have to prompt every swarm?

No. Start with Hivey. It creates and manages the swarms for you. When you want to get into the details, you can also talk to a specific swarm’s coordinator in its terminal space or Slack channel.

When can I try it?

Hivey is being prepared for its public release. The planned home is hivey.dev. Installation instructions and source access will be shared when the launch is ready.
